All of China's earliest natural gas chemical bases were built within the nation's gas production zones such as Sichuan basin. From 2004, China's natual gas chemical industry started to break the geographic boundary limits as a couple of long-distance pipelines were put into operation. New chemical plants were built alongside these pipelines (West-East Pipelines, Zhong-Wu Pipeline, Shaan-Jing Pipelines, Sichuan to East China Pipeline).
|With the formation of China's state and provincial pipeline grid, natural gas chemical is expected to be a nationwide industry in China. According to the statistics by 2018.4, 125 natural gas chemical bases in China's 24 provinces, will be available for operation by 2020. Main products of these chemical bases are fertilizers and Methanol.|
